SDTKD Club Secures its 4th ETU Licenced Coach
South Dublin’s Anas Belmaati travelled to to Bonn in Germany where he sat the ETU Coaches Licence Course to up-skill himself to hold a licence to permit coaching at the highest level World Ranking Events.
Anas is now the 4th Coach at SDTKD Club holding this title alongside Robert Taaffe, Niamh Buffini, and Dylan Leonard who attended the course in recent years. The licence is a pre-requisite for any coaches who wish to attend any World Ranking Events, Major Continental Championships and World Championships. Club Head Coach Robert Taaffe explained, ‘Anas receiving this licence now further strengthens our clubs position to offer our optimum detailed coaching to our students and also gives us greater flexibility to our international athletes. Last November we travelled to Anas’ native Morocco Open for a World Ranking event, and since his great assistance at the event and his massive contribution at the club we were delighted to support him to attend this seminar’. ‘We have a large diverse student body at SDTKD Club, and over recent years we have put quite a bit of effort into the professional coaching development of our students, and it is starting to really reap rewards for our members.’
